"Although 2009 was a tough year from an economic standpoint, IAM technologies survived and even achieved a modest growth rate from 2008," said Sally Hudson, research director for IDC's Identity and Access Management products. "This can be attributed to the continued requirement for companies to meet compliance regulations in both industry and government worldwide."
