When Melina Owens, an unorthodox therapist with a tragic past receives a request from Judge Simpson to evaluate Asmina, a Sudanese slave girl accused of murdering her husband and infant son, she will have to determine if the girl is a cold blooded murderer or the innocent victim of a horrible crime.
