In 1762 England, Bethany Fenwick lived in splendid luxury in Fenwick hall, the beautiful, pampered, somewhat spoiled daughter of Lord Fenwick. And then her father married Caroline, a woman of no discernible breeding. Bethany took an instant dislike to the woman, and the feeling was quite mutual.
