Blackwater Hollow 1900-1929

"Charlie and Edna, representational characters, carry the story of the Monongahela River Valley through all four books of the chronicles. It’s a story that details the working conditions in the mines and mills, the development of the labor union, and the unique culture of the region known as The Steel Valley.

Other characters appear, some actual such as Philip Murray, John Lewis, Mother Jones, etc. All of the incidents included though dramatized are based on real accounts garnered from a number of different sources.

Blackwater Hollow takes the reader from the year 1900 to the precipice of the stock market crash in 1929."
