Robert Govett on Revelation, Complete Set (Set of four original volumes now complete in two volumes)

Charles H Spurgeon wrote that Govett's works would be treasured like sifted gold. The first volume covers the first 11 chapters of Revelation, includeing the Messages to the Seven Churches. The second volume covers Revelation 12 to the end of the book. It includes the original volume 3 and volume 4. Robert Govette (1813-1901) As a fellow of Worchester College, Oxford, he was quite well known for his intellectual gifts. Mr. Govette's writing can be characterized in three ways. The first is logic, he was unequalled in ordered and sustained argument, and in pursuing a point to its rational conclusion. Secondly, he endeavored to keep a fresh approach to Scriptures; not always agreeing with the ordinary doctrines of the Post-Reformation Protestantism. A third characteristic is the ordered arrangement of his teaching. He was a systematic theologian in every aspect of teaching God's Word. He endeavored to be clear and concise in his writings so that the most uneducated of men could understand God's Word.
