Bold and Eclectic

This project combines autobiographical with philosophical material in such a way as to harmonize with the author s customary approach to anything remotely resembling an autobiography which, as on previous occasions, could not materialize were it not for his ongoing or, in this instance, well-nigh definitive commitment to philosophy, which has always been his raison d tre for writing and therefore justification for anything else, including autobiography. In this, the third such project, the combination of the two subjective approaches to literature, arguably 'somatic' and 'psychic' (to use his philosophical terminology) is brought to a veritable apotheosis, and it would be no surprise if this paradoxically turned out to be Mr O Loughlin s best example of the mixed genre a thrilling climax to a lengthy and mostly uphill literary vocation. - A Centretruths Editorial.
