A broken fence was all it took to bring two people together. Now, can Joan and Darryl mend the fences keeping them apart?
Joan was hoping for a little excitement and maybe a new romance in her life. When she wanders into the handsome, new neighbor's yard, to retrieve her dog she thinks she might have found it. Instead, she finds someone who seems to enjoy making fun of her humiliation. Over the next several weeks whenever she goes to her favorite places, he is there, always teasing and joking. She wishes he would just leave her alone, right up until she realizes that that is the last thing she really wants.
Even though his new neighbor seems to be lacking a sense of humor, Darryl finds her attractive and challenging. He hopes that he can win her over with his charm, but unfortunately, his witticisms and teasing are met with coldness. After many repeated attempts to break the ice at their casual meetings, Darryl decides to give up and move on. If he could only get her out of his mind and keep her dog out of his yard, it would be a lot easier.
