Two-level opening bids that have two or three-way meanings:
Two clubs, suit-based or a 23-24 point notrump hand, with control (ace and king) responses. Optional Control Finder method for locating responder's controls. If major-suit-based, the hand is balanced (no singleton or void)
Two diamonds, weak two bid in hearts or strong in spades or BIG notrump hand, 25 points or more. If strong in spades, the hand includes a short suit, singleton or void.
Two hearts, strong two bid in in hearts or weak in spades or BIG notrump hand, 25 points or more. If strong in hearts, the hand includes a short suit, singleton or void.
Marvin Two Spades, seven playing tricks based on a solid or semi-solid minor suit, If solid, no ace or king outside. If semi-solid, one ace or king outside (but the hand must includee at least one ace. This bid eliminates the need for a Gambling 3NT opening, and comes up four times as often. It frees the 3NT opening for another purpose, such as a non-gambling bid based on a long stong minor and outside high cards.
