COR Team - Going from the Natural to the Supernatural in Your Organization

On May 2, 2007, God planted in the hearts of a few of us at our company to step out in faith and start meeting weekly for prayer. Calling the prayer group, COR Team, we boldly began seeking the Lord to Chase Down, Overtake and Run over our company with his blessings and financial prosperity, on behalf of his kids dedicated to walking in love and obedience and praying for our company leaders. We witnessed a tremendous move of God in the following months as His blessings were poured out on our company. Lives changed, relationships restored, physical healings…
But is our vision big enough?
In 1857, Jeremiah Lanphier, a businessman in New York City was grieved over the condition of his city. There were 30,000 men without work and alcohol abuse was to be found on every street corner. On September 23, 1857 he began a noontime prayer meeting on Fulton Street in Manhattan. At his first prayer meeting, he was the only one there, praying by himself, until six people showed up 30 minutes late. The group decided to meet the next week and the prayer group grew weekly from 14 to 23 to 40. Within weeks there were thousands of business leaders meeting daily. God moved so powerfully that the prayer meeting spread across the nation. It is estimated that nearly 1 million people were converted between 1857 and 1858, including 10,000 people coming to Christ weekly in New York City for a period of time.
Many ministries were birthed out of this one man’s vision to pray for his city, most of which you probably wouldn’t recognize, but one stands out above the rest that continues to this day to have a profound impact on meeting spiritual and physical needs all over the world…

Wouldn’t it be awesome if, 150 years from now, people gathered around the place where your company conference room once stood and thanked God for the tremendous blessings our nation… our world received from the powerful hand of God as a result of your faithfulness to praying each week for your leaders, each other, your company, your city… state… nation? This is it! It’s time! We need to dream big… believe big… pray big! We have a big God who wants to do big things on behalf of his kids who are dedicated to prayer, love and obedience.
As you read this book, my prayer is for you to capture the vision in your own heart of what God wants to do in and through you in your organization. The world desperately needs to see a business totally transformed and supernaturally successful beyond human comprehension, simply because they chose to do it God’s way. The starting point of such a business begins with God’s kids assigned by their Father to be workers within the business who dedicate themselves to praying for their company leaders and who make the choice each day to walk in love and obedience to God’s commands. This is it! This is your time to make a difference! Let God use you in starting a COR Team in your workplace.
