Between The Gates

Tela was an 8 year-old girl, living with her sister Dr. Femur and two mastiff dogs. She was fighting with Leukemia while fantasizing about a healthy girl around 9 years of age with heroic powers. Other than the books she read, her limited life experiences included her home, her hospital room, and the stories people tell her about their lives. All she wanted for herself was being able to grow up and live experiences of her own. But things were about to change as the molecular chain of events that interfered her therapy would actually allow her be that superhero she was dreaming about. Would Tela be able to make positive contributions to the world she wanted to be a part of? And if so, what was the price?
