Teaching English through Art

This book is an excellent edition to an ESL program. It also is perfect for encouraging reluctant writers. All activities are visual and kinesthetic. Students draw kinds of sentences in comic book format. They illustrate and draw kinds of paragraphs, similes, metaphors, descriptive words, putting sentences together (compared to a train/needs to have an engine and caboose along with cars), haiku and concrete poetry, hyperbole, kinds of stories, a bridge compared to a conjunction and much more. Great for special needs children too and makes an excellent supplement to a grammar program.
