The GPS in Jeff Delaney’s car opens a door to a frightening parallel world, one filled with war, cruelty and an uncertain future. Jeff didn’t realize how fast his own world was spinning out of control until he was forced to steer right into the path of his personal demons, and seeing a new reality challenges him to change his life once and for all, even if it means never going back home. The GPS, the last gift he received from his estranged wife, was something she hoped would be a new beginning for him, an escape from the airports and the jet-setting schedule which had stressed him out of his marriage and into the bottle. Living in post-Katrina New Orleans, the 38-year-old baseball scout has lost his zest for the game, and life, and turns to whiskey to distract himself from his downward spiral. But the little flashing screen on his dashboard changes him forever.
