The Cricket

A naive youth, wearied by immortality, sails out of the dawn of history and into disaster. He is rescued by Hana, a young woman whose intelligence and self-reliance are holding off a deeper despair, and taught by her how to live in the modern age. Their journey together in search of Hana's father takes them through a phantasmagoric America, in which they must confront the cruelty of a world little changed from ancient times.
