Jews in Prison
Description
Of approximately 50,000 prisoners residing in Ohio's prisons, about 50 are Jewish. The percentages have remained the same since 1984.
This book examines the status of Jewish inmates in Ohio's state prisons, how they live and how they survive in a penal situation where only about .001 percent of the prison population is Jewish.
Many Jews on the other side of those prison walls, with the exception of the Bernie Madoffs and other notorious prisoners, do not realize there are Jews in prison, nor do they care about them. "Why should we help them? We should kill them," some Jews say. "Why should be spend money supporting them and feeding them?"
