Me...and My High School Reunion (Jillian Christie Book 1)

My name is Jillian Christie and I’m not your normal, average heroine. I’m too dull. I don’t have a boyfriend (or any prospects), but I do have a cat (that counts for something, right?), and I play with numbers all day long as an accountant in a funeral home. But all that excitement changed when a strange man named Dominic broke into my apartment. He forced me to help him find a key inside a dead man that could possibly change the underworld of Chicago (let’s face it, he didn’t really force me—he’s just got interesting powers of persuasion). On top of that stress, I’ve got less than two weeks to find a date to my high school reunion so I don’t have to take my gay brother and his partner; my mother and stepfather are having a baby by artificial insemination (!); and I need to figure out what my connection is to the local mafia. Not to mention detectives that may not be detectives, fights at the funeral home, and my worst enemy since kindergarten. Everyone is making me examine my heretofore boring life a little too closely…and I’m not sure I appreciate the shake-up. That still doesn’t stop me from doing idiotic things left and right. Hopefully I can sort all this out before a contract is put out on my life—dying now would be disappointing since I’ve just started to have some fun!
