Serious issues arise, her loving him so much even after he destroys her college friend, breaking her heart and instigating her murder. The final confrontation happens in Granada when Zara meets him again and discovers he is now working with ETA terrorists, the situation obliging her to face the truth.
She battles with the love in her heart, the deeper love awakened by the Magus prevailing and finally breaking through the barrier impeding transcendence to the Sacred Feminine, karma obliging her father must die in her arms.
