Double sided hiking map with a guide of the Aosta Valley, including Chamonix, Mont Blanc and Matterhorn.
Relief is portrayed by contours (100 m interval) and hill-shading without distracting from other detail. Road network shows minor roads and selected cart tracks. Railways, cable cars, and ski lifts are also shown, as well as selected long-distance hiking trails.
National parks and protected areas are marked and symbols indicate various landmarks and facilities, e.g. archaeological sites, churches and castles, campsites, refuges, etc. Pictogrammes show locations of recreation activities like paragliding, horse riding, bungee jumping etc. Latitude and longitude lines are drawn at 4' intervals.
On the reverse side is a bi-lingual guide, in English and Italian, with suggested routes for hiking, mountain-biking and a 96-km long route along the Dora Valley with 20 castles.
A 38-page booklet attached to the map's hard cover contains a comprehensive place name index and gazetteer. Map legend includes English, Italian, French and German. Sheet size 98 x 68 cm / 38.5" x 27". Authentic, reliable Italian cartography, hard cover.
