Lula

LULA is a true story about a little girl growing up in the Midwest during the Great Depression. She spent her childhood on a farm in Illinois, and later in the oil fields of California. She and her family were dirt poor in many ways, yet fantastically rich in others. Their social bank account overflowed with wonderful relationships that they enjoyed with each other and with their neighbors. That was their highest priority.



Regardless of the time or place, family life will never be improved because of some complicated cure-all directive issued by the federal government. Family life will only be what each one of us chooses to make it. As LULA tells her story it will help us think about our family values, and how they are changing for better or for worse.
