Fujitsu's 7120 and 40G/Clouds Enable Higher Optical Rates

On the 7120, Verizon wanted a combination of new upgrades (including the capability to seamlessly migrate to 40G in the future) as well as get additional OSMINE certification before the carrier would commit to the product. In this issue, we also look at the movement towards cloud-based services creating the need for more 40G and 100G capability. While it is not difficult to run nx10G for these applications, there is a lot of latency associated with doing it that way.
