Jay, however, comes to the stark realization that two years in venture capital isn't a sure fire lock on getting into HBS.
Thus, Jay sets up a serious of “life experiences†right out of the HBS application, guaranteed to dazzle even the most callous admissions directors with his renaissance approach to the world. He layers on community service in a Guatemalan orphanage with overseas ventures in Middle East and the former Soviet Union. Things don't always work out as planned, but he finds more than enough fodder for essay portion of the HBS application.
