Two in the Bush

This humorous satire of life on the Last Frontier follows starry-eyed poetry teacher Joseph Sedzo, lately of New Orleans, as he flees his food-obsessed wife Marie, younger daughter of Mafia don Marcus Brunella. He reaches Fairbanks, Alaska, only to encounter the beautiful Pearl Brunella, the runaway older daughter of the Mafia don. Joe has been madly in love with Pearl since he first saw her on a Mardi Gras parade float as Cleopatra. The only problem is, she really thinks she is Cleopatra. Also starring a genuine Alaskan Sasquatch, Billie Bigfoot, Alaskan professors, pipeliners, hunters, and other assorted characters of the modern far north. The novel is set in the early 1970s, at the opening of the great Alaska oil pipeline construction project.
