Prayer Is A.C.T.I.O.N

Everywhere throughout Scripture it is assumed that God's people will pray. Prayer is not optional equipment; it is an essential part of the Christian life. God calls us to get involved and be involved as much as we can. Recognize that apart from God we can do nothing.

When we pray let us remember Paul's pattern for prayer and use it as a guideline. We can request that we will understand God's will for our lives; we will gain spiritual wisdom; we will please and honor God; we will do kind things for others; we will know God better and better; we will be filled with God's

strength; we will endure in today's culture and world in faith in truth in Jesus Christ; we will stay full of Jesus Christ's joy; we will always be thankful in knowing that Christ is in our life. All believers have these same basic needs. When you don't know what you can do, pray the way Paul taught the church of Colossians to pray!

Perhaps, as much as anything else, prayer puts things in perspective for us. It helps us to focus to see God and God's truth more clearly. Let us concentrate and find a consistent place to prioritize prayer in our lives. I pray you will have time for that!
