This is the factual story of the conception, birth and early development of a new generic type of combustion chamber for Internal Combustion engines.
It tells the How, Where, When, Who and Why of the origin of the Narrow Angle 4 Valve cylinder head configuration.
It is a "First Hand" narrative covering the period from 1963 to 1965 together with reference to the Gurney Weslake F1 Engine of 1966 which first used this new technology for an F1 win at Spa in June 1967
It is written in a style intended to appeal to all petrolheads of all persuasions whether deeply technical specialist or open enthusiast and should fire up the youth of today to encourage them to prepare themselves for action in the exciting field of engineering.
It is a narrative with design notes and calculations written through first-hand experience by the author.
