Description
EinsteinÆs explanation of the photoelectric effect in terms of particles of light (photons) caused a major problem. Sometimes light seems to act as waves but sometimes it acts as particles. The concept of quantum mechanical waves, called probability amplitude waves, is introduced. It is shown that in some sense a particle can be at two places at once.
