Maiden Voyage (Calvin and Susan Book 1)

Maiden Voyage is a science fiction, action, detective thriller examining how the social anxiety of today could develop into the social paranoia of 50 years hence through the vehicle of a highly skilled analyst, Calvin, a senior analyst in the British Secret Intelligence Service (MI6), who has Sherlock Holmes like analytical skills, and his young body-guard field agent, Susan the best recruit the Service has ever had, as they foil the theft of a biological weapon from a Trans-Atlantic liner being haunted by a ghostly stolen high-tech attack submarine.
The story commences with backgrounds into the two main characters, the British Secret Service’s best and most senior analyst, and the newly qualified field agent assigned to him on his trip to the United States to assist the CIA. But this is no pleasure cruise.
When on board it seems clear that they must solve the riddle of how an illegal bio-weapon that is being smuggled to the US for tests is to be stolen by person or persons unknown.
When one of the ship's officers is murdered, the security officer suspects Calvin. A situation which Susan cannot allow to persist.
