Antichrist

The Antichrist is not some Christian add-on theology, unknown to earlier Judaism.
The Antichrist is in the first instance a spirit, which has reared its head against God since the Eden story. It forms part of biblical dualism. The World is a place of Light and Dark, Life and Death, Truth and Lie, Christ and Antichrist.
While this book also makes an effort to trace the origin and context of the final great political Antichrist of history from passages in Daniel, and from cross-references by Paul in Thessalonians, it sees this in a context of an age-old contest between the spirit of obedience and the spirit of rebellion.
The meaning of "the number of man - 666" - is also fleshed out, and it becomes clear there is that within Man which is also the Antichrist. The Antichrist is a projection of man's own nature, just as the serpent's words in Eden were a reflection of Eve's own secret thoughts. Man must overcome the "Beast" in a spirit of faith and obedience. The blood of Christ is his weapon of warfare.
The Unforgiveable Sin is that testimony which denies that God has sent his Son into the World to conquer Sin. It is therefore the act of rejecting the Gospel as a Lie, which also characterizes the Spirit of Antichrist.
The victory of the saints is assured, as they conquer the Antichrist through speaking the Truth. The Light will conquer the Darkness.
