The Shallow Valleys

The arsonist strikes at night, vanishes into darkness and everything he touches is consumed in the inferno. From relatively minor beginnings the attacks escalate and his actions will have profound consequences for the residents of the small Suffolk village of Iristone, among them a naive young waitress and a lonely veteran of the Second World War.
