Sworn Secret (Royalist series Book 1)

Set in the present day Sworn Secret follows City lawyer Edward "Ned" Langrish as he struggles to get his life back following a violent burglary in his London apartment and the sudden death of his father in a car crash. Due to inherit the family home as a result - Poillard Lodge in the New Forest - Ned attracts the unwelcome attention of an international syndicate led by real estate developer Leonard Ireton and Russian investor Mikhail Kushansky.

As Ned comes to terms with the tragedy, his family and colleagues are unwittingly thrown into a race to prevent a secret his ancestors have kept hidden in the Lodge since the time of the English Civil War from falling into the wrong hands. Unaware of the diverse organisations and shadowy individuals from across the globe - Helmand, New York, Colombia, Sri Lanka, London , Moscow - whose paths inexorably draw nearer with his own, Ned tries to unlock the three hundred and fifty year old enigma before it is too late.
