Gestalt Approach: An Introduction for Managers and Trainers

The major aims of this volume are to communicate to a wider audience the authors' experiences in, and enthusiasm for, the Gestalt Approach; and to provide a brief introduction to interested people who have no prior knowledge or particular interest in the broader areas of humanistic psychology or therapy. It describes the origins of Gestalt therapy, some of the basic theory, the use of the Gestalt approach in the context of management training, and recent developments in Gestalt theory and practice. The final chapter offers some exercises for readers who want to increase their level of self-awareness. It offers an excellent non-technical introduction to Gestalt therapy theory and practice.

Originally published in 1982 by Roffey Park Management College and written by two leading members of its training/consulting staff, this revised 2nd edition was published in 1991 by The Gestalt Journal Press.
