Soldier Come Home

Jimmy was supposed to be back from the war by now, but he wasn't and waiting is just about to kill me. Everything in our home reminds me of him from the front porch swing to the music on the radio. Please, soldier, come home.

This is a short story about a woman waiting for her deployed husband to return home safely from the war and her memories of the days that made their love special and the home and family she hopes to have with him. (Approximately 2000 words.)
