Letters To Whitney

Philip Roberts is a struggling young actor who finally gets his big break on a new TV series, The McCord's. With a successful career, beautiful wife, and a young daughter, life couldn't be better. His favorite part of the day is singing to little Whitney before tucking her into bed. Then tragedy strikes. It's every parent's worst nightmare. Two-year-old Whitney is kidnapped from the babysitter's back yard. In spite of his celebrity, the media coverage fails to bring Whitney home.

Philip and Chelsea struggle with their unbearable grief when a second tragedy strikes. Chelsea is diagnosed with and then begins losing the battle to cancer. One night, in a dream, she sees Whitney riding a pony. Convinced her daughter is still alive, and knowing she won’t be there should Whitney ever return home, Chelsea writes letters about her life with Philip, her hopes and dreams, and how much she loves her.

The reader will follow both Philip and Whitney’s story over the period of 20 years. The now adult Whitney discovers that she and her older brother, Todd, were sold in a black market baby ring to their unsuspecting parents. To complicate the situation, she is puzzled by her emotional reaction when she hears Philip Roberts singing in an old rerun of The McCord's. An Internet search reveals the stories of the actor's kidnapped daughter whose picture looks just like her own childhood pictures. She turns to her brother for help. Should they contact the police? How will they tell their parents? Will she be able to prove that she is Philip Roberts missing child?
