Centurion's Choice (a short story)

AD 62: Roman occupied Britain is still recovering from Boudicca’s bloody revolt. Centurion Marcus Flavius Quintus of the Second Augustan legion quickly finds that hunting the last remaining rebels is the least of his worries. The Shadows with Teeth have other ideas. Their leader, Julia of the Bloody Hand, plans for a second warrior queen to rise, a child she can manipulate and mould in her own dark image. She also offers Marcus power and eternal life; a tempting offer on a mist shrouded, soggy island where it always seems to be raining.

Centurion’s Choice is a SHORT STORY and is a little over 6,000 words in length; ideal if you like your vampire fiction short and historical.
