CRIME SCENES

For about a decade and a half I had the second best job of my life. I was a crime scene investigator and forensic lab rat. Every day was different and I never went to a crime scene that I didn’t like. I went to a few that made me uncomfortable; a few that troubled me emotionally, but none where I didn’t feel challenged. It didn’t matter if I was hot and sweating or wet and cold; the need to do the job correctly and gather as much relevant material as possible was always there. In other words I liked my job.
Every crime scene person has cases that stand out for some reason. Maybe they were messy, funny, difficult, or emotionally troubling. Maybe it is one they messed up. These are mine. Written in a concise and sincere manner they show the daily work of real life crime scene investigators.
