The White Husbands' Club

There isn’t a “White Husbands’ Club.” But there should be. There should be a club for all the ethnically maladroit, culturally maladjusted white husbands of Chinese women. A club where these men can talk to each other, comfort each other, and explore such mysteries as to why, to the Chinese, soup might be considered a beverage. We need a club where we can put together a press release explaining that each member married a Chinese woman for a different reason. We’re not all obsessed with what is supposedly so exotic. In fact, a mixed Caucasian-Chinese marriage is often more neurotic than exotic... But, if you are a hapless white guy in love with a Chinese woman, then this is the book for you.
