The Believer as Prophet, Priest & King: Our Baptismal Role

When we are baptized, each of us is anointed to fulfill the role of prophet, priest and king. What do these roles mean in our generation, in our church community? Fr. Jim Nisbet draws us to the deepest mission of Jesus and our calling to understand and reflect on these roles in a new vision: our anointing into the kingdom. With this new understanding of Jesus, Fr. Nisbet invites us to follow in faith, hope and love through the virtues of obedience, poverty, and chastity (yes, chastity) to the fullness of Christian life. Fr. Nisbet reminds us, with the words from Revelation, "Behold, I make all things new."
