The Bhagavad Gita Mahatmyam of Lord Siva compiled from the Padma Purana

This book is a humble attempt to glorify the most popular Vedic text - the Bhagavad Gita, which was spoken by Lord Krishna Himself. It was spoken on the battlefield of Kurukshetra and its message is both important and urgent. Knowing these glories is very beneficial for all sincere spiritual seekers, and it can make all the difference.

This book is dedicated to my spiritual master His Holiness Jayapataka Swami and my param guru His Divine Grace AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

I am confident of the widespread acceptance of this work of mine, by sincere readers worldwide based on this truth revealed in the Srimad Bhagavatam (1.5.11):

tad-vag-visargo janatagha-viplavo
yasmin prati-slokam abaddhavaty api
namany anantasya yaso ankitani yac
chrnvanti gayanti grnanti sadhavah

The translation of this glorious verse is "On the other hand, that literature which is full with descriptions of the transcendental glories of the name, fame, form and pastimes of the unlimited Supreme Lord is a transcendental creation meant to bring about a revolution in the impious life of a misdirected civilization. Such transcendental literatures, even though irregularly composed, are heard, sung and accepted by purified men who are thoroughly honest."
