Description

IT ALL BEGINS WITH AN INNOCENT HOMEMADE FLYER.

THE SETTING is a hundred year-old, isolated estate in Massachusetts that has been renovated into a college bar called BLOODY MARY'S. The bar is owned by Hal and Rita, two "aging hippies," at least to the young college crowd. Legend has it that Mary Sullivan, who owned the place at the turn of the last century, committed suicide in an upstairs room when her lover abandoned her. Now, her restless ghost roams the premises, thirsty for revenge. At least, Hal likes telling that story in the bar, where the customers are always thirsty.

THE NOVEL: Hal and Rita are about to go under financially and are trying to sell
the old mansion. They can't keep it open any longer, and now it's the last night. The waiters and waitresses are local college students. A real estate agent arrives, as does a local goon, since Hal owes money to a small-time Boston mobster. Then, as the last night gets into full swing, one of the waitresses is found murdered. Hal sends the patrons home and closes down the bar. As he, Rita, the other waitresses and waiters, and the real estate agent wait for the police to arrive, one by one they begin to die. Is there a killer loose in the huge, rambling mansion? Is it the ghost of Mary Sullivan? After all, some supernatural things start happening that no human being is capable of doing. You won't know unless you order last call.
