As an unpaid volunteer in Herat, Afghanistan, Megan Carlson hands out CARE packages to starving war widows. One day she witnesses a terrorist bombing, and gets kidnapped by those responsible. In a desperate bid to save herself, she hides a cell phone, and calls for help from the trunk of the kidnapper’s car. Her father has connections with Darkwater, a private military outfit employing former US soldiers. They take what looks like an easy job, and send a seven-man crew to extract her…
