Description

Most people think Feng Shui (pronounced “Fung Shway”) involves the positioning of furniture in a room to minimize stress and provide a sense of overall spiritual harmony. But the ancient Chinese masters who created this philosophy meant for Feng Shui to involve much more than the physical world. Their vision is an all encompassing approach that includes both outer and inner peace. One of the greatest ways to achieve this overall balance is through success in personal financial management. Just as the Chinese would use a rake to tend to a Zen garden, money should be viewed as a tool to allow you to live the stress-free life you have always wanted to live.

Feng Shui is a philosophy for everyone. Likewise, this book is written for the average, everyday person. It is not exclusive to the wealthy, nor does it include get rich quick schemes. Instead, it shows normal people how to systematically take control of every aspect of their finances to achieve whatever dreams they have in life.

There are numerous books on the topic of personal finance. However, the problem with these books is that they attempt to treat the symptoms of financial problems, but not the cause. That is, these other books offer financial advice, but never help the reader understand why this advice is typically not followed. In my book, the psychological aspects underlying our financial behavior are discussed and explained through real-life examples that each of us face. This is the only way we can get to the true root of the problem. And only through understanding can we expect to make positive changes in our lives.

In addition, I use humorous quotes throughout the book to highlight each concept. The use of humor not only adds to the reader’s understanding, but also to their recall when they face the financial decision on their own in the real world. Some of the quotes are originals, but most have been borrowed from some of history’s most recognized figures.
