The Coastguard's Cottage

After his parents' funeral, Clive heads home to his cottage by the sea which his Uncle left to him in his will, much to the annoyance of the rest of the family who had hoped to sell the property and divide up the money. James has always enjoyed being alone in the cottage because that is where he does his best work on his book, or so he tells the rest of the family. His sister Vicky, a successful London lawyer, doesn't really believe his story and, after reading a letter written by her father, she decides to spend a weekend at the cottage with James to see if she can find out whether his account of his life is really true. This eventful story of family relationships is set in the South of England, where the author grew up.
