Description

Max is a werewolf. Daniel is a vampire. It shouldn't be any more complicated than that. However, Max's new pack has a problem with vampires and they force him to spy on the dangerously attractive vampire at his own Mystery themed bookstore. But Max's spy mission comes to an abrupt end when Daniel reveals that he's been expecting him and he's very hungry, but not just for a taste of werewolf blood. (M/M short story erotic romance, approx. 4200 words)

Excerpt:

He looked up at Max with a sardonic smile. "Alright, Max. I'm going to be honest with you."

Daniel took a step forward. Max took a step back.

"I'd been expecting you," Daniel said.

Another step forward. Max's back bumped into a stack of boxes. He froze.

"I had a feeling your little pack was going to send you here."

Another step forward and Daniel was inches away from Max's face.

"Please accept my apologies, Max. I didn't mean to deceive you."

"What are you talking about?" Max asked.

Daniel replied by kissing Max lightly on his lips. Max jumped, knocked
over the stack of boxes and fell sprawled on top of them. Daniel laughed
and crouched over him. His hands trailed up Max's thighs and came to
rest on his hips. He leaned over Max and pressed a kiss to his neck. Max
flinched.

"Are you scared?" Daniel breathed against his skin.

"Yes," Max said shakily. All he could imagine was Daniel's sharp teeth
sinking into him. Turning into nothing more than a meal for an
irresistible predator.

Daniel smiled coyly. "Sorry," he said, "but I really like you. Does that bother you?"

Max's heart felt like it leapt into his throat. True, he had been really
attracted to Daniel from the start but even so, his mind was split
between fighting, fleeing or letting Daniel have his way with him. And
what really scared him was that he was leaning towards the latter.

"You're...You're going to kill me," he choked out.

Daniel climbed completely on top of Max's frozen body, lowered himself
onto him again and kissed the corner of his mouth. It felt surprisingly
innocent and chaste until Daniel lifted himself up enough to flash Max a
predatory smile. Daniel's fangs had grown longer and his eyes seemed to
burn with an inner fire.

"Why would I kill someone I want to have fun with?" he asked.
