2009 IBC Simplified Wind Provisions (SKGA Web Seminar DVD with PDF Handout)

A simplified wind design procedure, with broader applicability than that of Method 1 - Simplified Procedure of ASCE 7-05/2006 IBC, has been approved for inclusion in the 2009 IBC. The procedure is an alternative to Method 2 - Analytical Procedure of ASCE 7-05/2006 IBC and is in some ways similar to the wind design procedure that was in the 1997 UBC. This procedure is discussed in detail with an example.
