EDU 7700 Intro to Curriculum Design for Succesful Adult Learning (Adult Learning 101)

This is the intro for EDU 7700 Units 1-12. We will review, collaborate, and critically evaluate traditional and contemporary adult learning theory and practice (Restrepo, 2007). This integrated project will answer the following questions; where learning occurs, learning opportunities, how adults will participate, and the purpose of their activities. I will explore how Adult Learning Theories are applicable to teaching strategies. When you successfully complete this book: You will be able to demonstrate in written form the basics concepts and principles of teaching and learning theories. You will be able to review, evaluate, and integrate learning theory into your course curriculum. You will have reviewed, analyzed, and evaluated contemporary educational theories and practice as they relate to the teaching and learning process. You will have viewed from several different perspectives the following five orientations: behaviorist, cognitivist, humanist, social cognitivist, and constructivist. You will have researched, discussed, collaborated how the different orientations affect the educational enterprise and their application to various learning situations. You will have facilitated research into Adult Education specifically Adult Development and Learning Theory that will strengthen, and enhance your learning and or teaching strategies.
