Healer's Journey (part 1 ~ Chelden Var)
Description
I apologise, from the outset, to those that don't like 'first person' narrative. There is also a heavy use of phrases in parenthesis: asides, passing thoughts and other comments, which may not be to everyone's taste.
The story itself, and the events within it, I like to think of as merely 'background' to the main characters. It is how they cope with events, and how they are changed by them, that I have tried to convey. So: we have a strong lead female, unexpectedly thrust into a fantasy world of magic. She deals with things in her own way, sometimes with an element of warped humour, and survives and grows as a result of her experiences. Her 'new' world has a dark edge to it at times: but there will be more of that in parts 2 and 3.
