Homecoming

Dhen has returned to the mining town of Golis Vale where he was born and raised. He left four years ago to become one of the King’s Kestrels—an elite group of warriors who serve as the king’s messengers, spies, assassins, and diplomats. He is anxious to see his family and friends, and to relax after years of training and hard service. But not all are happy to see him return from the wider world while they stayed in the remote and mountainous Vale. Nor is the wider world content to leave the Vale in peace. An old enemy has his sights set on the region, and only Dhen and his friends can stop this rebellion before it’s too late.
