It was the formula for disaster—novelist Jeb Lacey was left holding a baby! No wonder Meg Hubbard seemed heaven-sent; she was, after all, a woman, and bound to be naturally gifted with children. Meg only agreed with Jeb's optimism to get a newspaper interview with him, but within the change of a diaper she was utterly entranced by little Eleanor.
