Dear Aunt

Jewel Spencer is the daughter of a middle class merchant in a Caribbean country. She falls in love with a labourer and is forced to leave her comfortable surroundings and work as a domestic servant.

In later years Dear Aunt is taken in by the family of a distant relative and seeks to overcome the pain of her former life.

The story is set in the 1940's to the present.
