The Plumbing Code governs the erection, installation, alteration, repair, relocation, and replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of plumbing systems. It also regulates nonflammable medical gas, inhalation anesthetic, vacuum piping, non medical oxygen systems and sanitary and condensate vacuum collection systems. This code book also contains the first five chapters of the new Title 28 of the New York City Administrative Code that govern all of the new construction codes, covering administration, enforcement, maintenance obligations, licensing, and miscellaneous provisions, including outdoor signs. Additional administrative provisions applicable to the precise matters covered by the Plumbing Code can be found in its Chapter 1.
