Megan is an American soldier fighting in Iraq, when her convoy is ambushed and she is taken prison by Iraq militants.
Reed, is an Iraqi doctor, whose family has been killed by a US bombing. He of course, hates the US and struggles with his own demons. When Megan is injured, militants call him to treat her wounds. At first he is reluctant to help her, believing that she could very well be one of the US soldier who killed his wife and kids. But he is simply unable to walk away from her injuries.
With Reeds daily visits and medical assistance, Megan survives, and is grateful for his help.
As the days go by, Reed and Megan become friends. After a few massive hurdles that test their friendship, predictably, they fall in love and enter into a relationship that is far beyond sexual. Problem is, Megan is married to a police commissioner in the U.S., and to Reed’s horror, the Iraqi militants who hold her captive, have sinister plans for her.
Reed suddenly finds himself in a position where he is forced to betray his people in order to save the woman he loves.
