Conversations with God

Ten year old Ali Sumers, precocious but still just a normal little girl, has her faith truly tested when she finds out her mother is gravely ill. Her parents always taught her to say her prayers with heart and that God would always listen. But was He listening to Ali now? Did He hear her tearful prayers? Her mom was very sick and Ali prayed night and day over her, believing more than she's ever believed before. In the end, Ali knew she ultimately had to leave it up to God. It was in His power to do what He was going to do. But, still, Ali prayed so hard and for so long, promising never to ask for things, like a bike, if only He healed her mommy. For that would be the greatest gift in the world and Ali really did believe in miracles.
